1 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 2-1/4 cups flour 2 eggs 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup cut up cherries 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup cherry juice 3/4 cup nuts
Cream sugar, shortening, eggs. Mix baking powder, salt and flour. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture with milk and juice. Add nuts and cherries. Spread in a 9" x 5" x 3" pan. Bake at 350º for 60 to 65 minutes.
