1 c. oatmeal
1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening.
Filling:
1 c. sugar (scant)
2 T. cornstarch
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble the oatmeal mixture together and place 2/3 on the bottom of a pan. Press and pack it down. For the filling, boil the three ingredients until clear and add 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Pour filling over 2 heaping cups of rhubarb. Add to the top of the packed mixture in the pan. Add the rest of the crumble to the top. Bake about 1 hour at 350 F.
