"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous
This recipe for TO PRESERVE CHILDREN, by Jodi Heitkamp, is from Sperry Christian ,

1 Large Field 1/2 dozen Children 2 or 3 small Dogs A pinch of Brook Some Pebbles
Mix children and dogs together well. Put them in a field, stirring constantly. Pour the brook over the pebbles. sprinkle the field with flowers. Spread over all a deep blue sky. Bake in the sun, when brown, set away to cool in the tub. The addition of a nourishing meal helps also.
