1 lb. bacon
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cans chopped clams, drained
oregano and pepper to taste

Directions:
Place clams in freezer 2 weeks prior to making. Remove 2 days before and refrigerate to defrost (clams will open on their own once defrosted). Chop clams, drain and set aside, reserving shells. Saute bacon in large skillet over medium heat and set aside. Remove excess grease from pan. Saute onions and green pepper. Add all clams and continue to saute approximately 10 minutes. Add oregano and black pepper. Line 2 cookie sheets with aluminum foil and spoon clam mixture into shells. Top with small piece of bacon to garnish. Bake at 325F for 20 minutes.
A favorite of Charlotte's family, every Christmas Eve!
