3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 beaten egg
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Sift and add the dry ingredients. Roll into balls and dip in sugar. Bake at 375 10-12 min.
