2 tbsp margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
2 medium white or idaho potatoes, peeled and cut up
1 (141/2ounce)can chicken stock
1 can water
2 small white potatoes, peeled and cut up
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 c cream or half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and potatoes in margarine, add chicken stock and water. Heat til potatoes are cooked. Blend, return to pan and add white pepper and cream or half and half.

May add a few leeks and a dill garnish to dress it up.

Carrots with a sprinkling of ginger, but if using carrots only one potato is needed.

Broccoli may also be added, garnished with a little cheese.
