2 c. scalded milk
1 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
3 tsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Add shortening to hot milk, then add sugar, eggs, salt and cool. Add yeast that ha been dissolved in warm water. Add the 5 1/2 c. flour and beat well. Let rise about 20 minutes in a warm place. Add 1/2 more flour, knead 3 - 5 minutes. Keep dough soft, don't use all of the flour if it isn't necessary. Cover, let rise. Shape into rolls, let rise again. Bake at 400 until golden.
