4 cups peeled, cored and finely chopped pears
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 cup oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine chopped pears and sugar and let stand 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon, add to pears. Beat eggs well and combine with oil and vanilla and add to pear mixture. Add chopped pecans. Pour into greased and floured large tube pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
