Cake ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. Cocoa Powder
1 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Icing Ingredients
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. Cocoa Powder
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Cake Method: Combine flour, sugar, and baking soda in a large bowl. In a sauce pan boil the butter, water and oil. Mix into the dry ingredients. Next add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Bake at 400 for 25-30 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.
Icing Method: Boil butter, coca powder, and milk. Add powdered sugar and vanilla - pecans may be mixed into the icing or sprinkled on the cake. Allow to cool slightly and thicken before spreading.
