1 c. butter (room temp.) 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 5 c. flour
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients. Chill dough for at least 2 hours. Roll out between wax or parchment paper and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350º for 5-6 minutes. Frost and decorate.
