1 lb. ground beef
2 carrots, peeled and diced
2 celery stalks, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 C. water
1 6-oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 C. milk

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan over high heat, cook beef, carrots, celery, onion, and garlic until beef is well browned.
Add remaining ingredients except milk; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in milk; heat through. Serve over 2 lbs. hot pasta
