3/4c. unsalted butter
1/2c. sugar
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2c. flour
2/3c. raspberry preserves or jelly

Preheat oven to 400F.
In a large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter until creamy, 30 seconds. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. Gradually beat in eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. Stir in flour until soft dough forms.
Spoon dough into large pastry bag fitted with a plain 1/2" tip. Pipe 1/2" rounds, 1" apart on 2 large, ungreased baking sheets. Press lightly floured thumb into center of each round, making a deep depression. Bake cookies until golden, 7-10minutes.
In a small saucepan over low temperature, heat raspberry preserves until just beginning to bubble. Using a teaspoon, place a little raspberry jam into each indentation while cookies are still warm. Allow cookies and jam to set and cool completely.
