1 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Butter
2 eggs
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 teas. vanilla
1/8 teas. baking soda
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/4 c. raspberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
1- combine flour and sugar. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture resembles fine meal. Press into lightly greased 8-inch square pan. Bake on 350 for 20 minutes or just until edges are lightly golden.

2 - Combine eggs, brown sugar and vanilla; beat well. Stir in baking soda, walnuts,and coconut(opt.). Spoon jam over hot crust. Top with walnut mixture. Return to oven; bake an additional 20-25 minutes until top is set. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
