6 c thinly sliced cooking apples (Granny Smith)
1 c sugar
2 Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
1 Tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
If apples lack tartness, sprinkle with 1 Tbsp lemon juice. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add sugar mixture to apples, toss to coat fruit. Fill a pastry with apple mixture, dot with butter. Put on top crust. Cover edges with foil. Bake at 375 for 20 - 25 minutes. Glaze top with melted butter and sugar.
