1 cup butter
2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light or dark karo syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
7 qts air popped popcorn
1 cup peanuts or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a pan on top of stove combine butter, sugar and syrup all together. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Stirring often. Remove from heat.
Stir baking soda and vanilla into mixture. Will look foamy. Pour over popcorn and nuts. Stir until coated.
Pour popcorn onto big cookie sheet - 15x10 or bigger. Put in oven at 250 that has been preheated. Stir by removing popcorn from oven every 15 minutes for 1 hour. After baked remove and put Carmel Corn in a "sealed" or air tight container.

This is really easy to make - it just sounds difficult. This is one of my dad's snack foods.
