I first make pie dough. Roll it out and cut it in squares. Then put a quarter of an apple in each square, sprinkle sugar and spice over each square. Bring up the sides to cover the apple. Put in pan and pour sugar water over to cover all dumplings. (About a cup of sugar and hot water.)

Bake about an hour in 350 degree oven.
