1 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
1 t. soda
3 c. quick cook or 3 minute oats
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together flour, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats and nuts. Mix well and chill. Form into 1" balls. Bake in a 350 degree oven on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes.
