Beans fresh from garden or frozen Onions Potatoes whole small red or white Salt and pepper to taste Bacon if desired
Scrub but do not peel potatoes. Clean beans if using fresh and add as many beans and potatoes into large pan with plenty of water and onion slices and bacon if desired. Season with salt and pepper. Cook slowly until potatoes and beans are tender.
