1 lb bean sprouts, drained
Romaine lettuce -- for 6 or 8
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
5 slices crisp bacon - in pieces
2 hard-cooked eggs

Dressing: 1 cup salad oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
2 T grated onion
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce.
