Filling:
2 T. Flour
1 T. Shortening
1/2 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 lb. Ground Pork
2 Onions (chopped)
6 Green Onions (chopped)
3 t. Parsley (chopped)
Salt, Black Pepper, and Red Pepper
Pastry Dough:
4 C. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 C. Milk
1/4 C. melted shorting
2 Eggs

Filling:
Melt shortening over medium heat, add flour making a paste. Add other ingredients and cook well. Allow to cool before filling the dough.
Pastry:
Sift flour and baking powder. Add shortening then eggs, add milk to make a stiff dough. Roll thin. Use a saucer as a guide to cut around. Spoon about 2 T. of meat mixture onto circle of dough. Dampen edges of dough and fold over. Crimp edges with a floured fork. Fry in deep hot shortening, (not oil) until golden brown.
