Prepare pie crust. In a separate bowl, add sliced apples, 1/2 to 2/3 cup sugar to taste, depending on the tartness of the apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and 2 Tablespoons flour. Mix all together, then pour into crust. Chill the apples in the pie crust while preparing the topping.
For the topping: Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add the flour and cinnamon and mix with a fork until it forms little pea sized pieces. Pour topping over apples and bake at 450 for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 and bake for 30 minutes.
