2 lbs. pork shoulder-lean
1 medium onion-quartered
1 tsp. salt
1 24 oz. bottle catsup
1 large green pepper-diced
2 tbsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. pickling spices

Directions:
Directions:
Cover pork, onion, and salt with water and cook, covered, until tender. Drain and save liquid. Let fat rise to the top and remove.
Shred meat fine. Add 1 cup reserved liquid, catsup, green pepper, mustard, vinegar, sugar and salt. Tie pickling spices in a small bag and add to pot. Simmer, covered, about 1 hour. Serve piping hot on sandwich rolls.
