2 cups sugar
4 cups water
1/2 tsp cinnamon
6 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
2 cups sugar
4 cups water
1/2 tsp cinnamon
6 Tbsp. butter
Boil together for three minutes.
1 cup sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon
Mix together and set aside.
Core apples. (Pastry for 9 pie makes 6 dumplings.) Cut pastry in squares after rolling. Place apple on each square of pastry. Fill center of apples with cinnamon and sugar mixture and dot with butter. Bring opposite edges of pastry up over apples. Overlap and seal. Put in baking dish and pour hot sauce over them. Bake at 425 F. for 40-45 minutes.
