1pkg active dry yeast.
1& 1/3 c warm water
1 T. sugar
1/2 T. salt
3& 1/2-4 c all purpose flour
1 egg
1T water
2 T coarse salt

Preheat oven to 450.
Cover baking sheet with foil
Mix yeast with 1& 1/3 cups warm water
Add 1 tbsp. sugar & 1/2 T. salt
Stir in 3&1/2-4 c flour, one cup at a time until a soft dough forms
Knead dough for 5-7 min.
Cut dough into 12 equal sized pieces. Cut into 4 pieces, cut each of those into thirds and should come out to 12 pieces
Roll each sect. to 15 in long on an UN FLOURED SURFACE
Shape dough into pretzel shape form on baking sheet
Mix the egg with 1 tbsp. of water to coat pretzel with egg mixture
Sprinkle with coarse salt
bake for1 5-20 mins. or until golden brown.
