"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Mix together.

Add cocoa mixture to above and pour into greased and floured pan. (9x13 is a little too big.) Bake at 350º for 40 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is Aunt Mildred’s recipe but I usually make it a little bit differently. I add about 1/4 cup oil extra to make the cake more moist and use rounded soup spoons of cocoa instead of tablespoons. I do not pre-sift the flour, and I leave out the salt. I also use a rounded teaspoon of cinnamon. Finally, I use a 2-qt. baking dish instead of a 9x13 pan and change the temp to 325º F.
