1 stick butter
4 pieces bread, toasted
2 cups milk
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
cinnamon
nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Melt buter in a 6 x 12 inch Pyrex dish. Toast bread until brown on both sides. Break into rather large pieces in dish. Scald milk; add to mixture of the sugar and the eggs. Add this mixture to the toasted bread and butter in dish. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and nutmeg. Place dish in a pan of boiling water and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minuts. Remove from over when knife inserted in center comes out clean.
