1/2 c. sliced onion
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 tbsp. sniped parsley
5 cups drained, cooked, or canned green beans
1 c. dairy sour cream
1/2 c. shredded sharp process American cheese
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 dry bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion in 2 tbsp. butter till tender but not brown. Add flour, salt, pepper, lemon peel, and parsley; cook and stir till mixture bubbles. Blend in sour cream. Add beans; heat through, stirring. Turn into 10x6x11/2 inch baking dish. Top with cheese. Combine melted butter and bread crumbs; sprinkle over beans. Broil just till cheese melts and crumbs brown.
