3/4 cup shorting
1 cup sugar
1 egg
4 T molasses
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp clove
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 cups flour

Roll into balls then into sugar. Bake at 350
