3 cloves minced garlic
1/3 c. olive oil
1/4 c. tomato sauce
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
2 tbsp chopped fresh basil or cilantro--we usually use the cilantro
1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
1/4 tsp cayenne papper or to taste
2lbs fresh shrimp.

Combine garlic, olive oil, tomato sauce and red wine vinegar. Season with basil, salt and cayenne pepper. Mix it and add shrimp making sure to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes to 1 hour, tossing them once or twice.

Preheat outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.

Soak wooden skewers in water for about 15 minutes to help keep from burning on grill.

Place shrimp as many shrimp as you desire on the skewer (have done this with vegetables in between as well--onion, bell pepper-red and green, etc)

Grill for about 3 minutes each side or until pink and opaque all the way through.

We have always used a 10 pound bag of shrimp and just make adjustments to our taste.
