1 head romaine lettuce
2 green onions and tops, thinly sliced
1/4c. sliced almonds
3T. sugar
1-11oz. can Mandarin oranges, drained

Dressing:
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
2T. sugar
1T. minced parsley
2T. red wine vinegar
1/4c. canola oil
dash of red pepper sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare lettuce.
Cook almonds with sugar over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar melts and almonds are coated (5-10 minutes). Pour over waxed paper, cool and split. Five minutes before serving, toss lettuce, onions, almonds and mandarin oranges. Toss with dressing.
Dressing:
Mixing salt, pepper, sugar, parsley, vinegar, oil and red pepper sauce together in a tightly covered jar. Shake to blend. Refrigerate until ready to use.
