1 pkg (18.15oz) devil's food cake mix
1 pkg (4 serving size) chocolate instant pudding mix
4 eggs
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 3/4 c. cola, divided
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
3 T. unsweetened cocoa
1 pkg (16oz) confectioners sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped toasted pecans

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9x13 baking dish with nontick cooking spray. In a large bowl, beat the cake and pudding mixes, the eggs, and oil at low speed with electric mixer until blended. Gradually add 1 1/4 cups cola. Increase the beater speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. In a large saucepan, combine the butter, cocoa, and remaining 1/2 c. cola; cook medium heat until the butter melts, stirring constantly. Do not boil. Remove from the heat and add in the confectioners sugar and vanilla, then the pecans. Spread the warm frosting over the top of the warm cake. Cool completely.

You can use different flavor of colas. This would be great with a cherry flavored cola.
