2 c brown sugar
2 c raisins
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp shortening
2 c water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cloves
2 1/2 -3 c flour
1 tsp baking soda,disolved in 1/2 c hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the 1st 7 ingredients. Boil the mixture for 5 minutes. Cool. When cool, mix in the flour, soda mixed in the hot water. Pour into a greased pan and bake for 1 hour at 300.
