1-2 T. olive oil
5-6 Lb. Beef Brisket (lean)
2 (12 oz.) bottles heinz chili sauce
2 (12 oz.) bottles of regular beer
3 med. red onions. peeled, cut in half and sliced
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. In a large, heavy roasting pan, heat olive oil. Add brisket and brown on both sides. Lift brisket and place onions underneath. Cook until softened. Turn off heat. In a mixing bowl, combine chili sauce, beer, garlic, salt, pepper, and brown sugar. Stir well and pour over brisket. Cover pan with foil and bake for 3 hours. Take meat out of pan and place on platter. Slice meet against grain. Using a hand blender, puree the sauce. Place the meet in the sauce and refrigerate. One hour before serving, preheat oven to 350 and reheat brisket in sauce.
