6 slices dry bread or toast, buttered
2 1/2 cups grated cheese
3 slightly beaten eggs
2 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut each slice of toast into four strips. In a baking dish, alternate layers of toast strips and cheese, having top layer of cheese. Combine eggs, milk and salt. Pour over bread and cheese. Bake in slow oven (325) for 30 to 40 minutes or until mixture doesn't adhere to knife when inserted.
