3/4 c. shortening or butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
5 eggs, unbeaten
1 c. white syrup
1 c. sugar
1 c. pecans
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening, brown sugar and flour together until fine and crumbly. Pat into a 13x9" baking pan. Bake 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven. While crust is baking, mix together eggs, syrup and pecans. Add vanilla. Pour into crust and return to oven. Bake in a slow oven 275 degrees until set like a pecan pie. Let cool before cutting into bars.
