4 cups creamy peanut butter
2 sticks butter, softened
1 box confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Chocolate coating:
1/2 slab parafin or 2 Tbsp shortening
16 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Peanut butter mixture: Cream peanut butter and butter. Add sugar and vanilla and mix well. Form into 1 inch balls and refrigerate or freeze.

Chocolate coating: Melt chocolate and parafin in saucepan over double boiler. Using toothppicks or dipping utensil, dip into chocolate mixture and drop onto wax paper on cookie sheet. Set aside until chocolate dries and store in cookie tins or plastic containers.

Mom always makes these at Easter . We decorate them with a single flower with cake decorating icing. (We use different pastel colors, for the flowers, peanut butter balls (light purple) and coconut balls (yellow) for example.
