"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Layered Pizza Dip, by Ann Dean, is from The Dean Family Cookbook Project,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch glass pie plate. Use kitchen shears to cut pepperoni slices into small pieces.
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Stir in sour cream, Parmesan and garlic salt. Spread into the pie plate. Top with pizza sauce, spreading it into an even layer. Sprinkle with provel or mozzarella, then with pepperoni.
Bake about 20 minutes or until heated through. Serve warm with crackers or pita wedges for dipping.
