Ingredients:  
3 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine

1 tsp. vanilla
red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup, water, salt and margarine and stir until dissolved.
Cook until hard ball. Stir in vanilla and add red food coloring (just enough to make them pink not red).
Pour over popcorn. (approximately 3 bags microwave popcorn, popped)

Grandma Morrell made these for every 4th and 24th of July celebration in Bicknell when we were kids. They would sell them for 5 cents a ball to raise money for the Primary or DUP. *Grandma was always strict about getting every 'old maid' out before she made them into balls.
