2 lb ground chuck
3-4 whole eggs
1 cup plain breadcrumbs
4 oz (1/2 can) Mushroom Soup
Butter, salt and pepper
2 medium spanish onions


GRAVY
1 can beef broth (8 oz)
Flour
1 quart water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine beef, egg, salt and pepper breadcrumbs & soup. Mix well and form into 6-8 patties. Set aside.

In large skillet, melt 4 oz margarine in hot skillet, brown patties on both sides, about 4 minutes. Remove from pan & place in baking dish. Add flour to pan drippings & make gravy. Pour gravy over Salisbury Steaks and bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Serve with grilled onions

Since you only need 4 oz. of the mushroom soup, you can always add the other half of the can of soup to the gravy. I got this recipe from the WVIZ cookbook. It was a speciality dish from a restaurant called Radlicks. It is great served with mashed potatoes. Real comfort food.
