3/4 lb hot italian sausage (or kielbasa); sliced 1 md green pepper; chopped 1 md onion; chopped 1 cn tomatoes (19 oz); broken up 1 cn tomato sauce; (7 1/2 oz) 3 c water 1/2 ts garlic powder 1 pouch lipton chicken noodle -soup mix 1/2 c grated mozzarella cheese
In a dutch oven or heavy saucepan, brown sausage, green pepper and onion; drain. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add soup mix; simmer, covered 5-7 minutes longer . May be frozen at this stage. Sprinkle each serving with grated Mozzarella cheese.
