3 eggs
1/2 c . sugar
1/4 t. salt
3 c. scalded milk
1/4 t. cinnamon

Directions:
Toast bread and spread with butter while still hot. Arrange in buttered baking pan. Beat eggs and add 5 tblsp. sugar and salt. Add milk to egg mixture and mix well. Pour over the toast and let stand for 10 minutes, pressing the toast down occasionally so that it soaks up the mixture. Mix cinnamon and remaining sugar and sprinkle over top of pudding. Put dish directly on oven rack and bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes, or until silver knife inserted in center comes out clean and top is brown. This pudding is good either hot or cold.
