2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
4 Tbsp. Crisco oil
1 c. milk



GRAVY:

1 lb sausage
1/2 c. flour
3-4 c. milk
salt and pepper to taste

Stir salt and baking powder into flour in a bowl. Make a hole in the middle of the dough and add the milk and then the oil. Stir with a fork to make a soft dough. Scrape dough out into a 9" square well-greased pan and Bake at 450 F for 12-15 minutes. Cut into 9 squares.



GRAVY:

Brown the sausage in frying pan. Spoon meat out and leave grease drippings in pan. Add flour to drippings and make a soft paste. Turn pan on high and when paste is hot, begin adding milk stirring constantly with a fork to blend paste into milk as it thickens. You may need to add more or less milk until consistency of gravy is just right for you. Then add the browned sausage into the gravy and pour over the biscuits on individual plates.
