To clean a barbeque grill--cover it with a paste of vinegar and soda. Leave this on until you use the grill again, then rinse it off with water. Another way is to coat it with dishwasher detergent powder and hot water, then cover it with a cloth or something and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Rinse it with water before using it again.

Cleaning a Wok--Don't scrub it! That ruins the surface. I found out the hard way. Instead, clean off the surface grit and grime and apply a thin coat of sesame, olive or peanut oil. Place a piece of greaseproof paper over it and store until next use.

Deodorizing a Microwave--Rub inside walls with vanilla or peppermint.
