1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk
4 T. melted lard or melted shortening
1 T. vinegar
1 c. mashed potatoes
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
4 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients together. Kneed in enough flour to make a soft dough. Roll out thick and cut with a dough nut cutter. Fry in deep hot grease until golden brown and turn. Take out and put on paper towels to dry. Put dough nuts in granulated or powdered sugar or frost them, when cooled.
