2 sticks margarine, softened
1 egg, separated
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
3 t. cinnamon
1 t. vanilla
pinch of salt
1 c. finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter, sugar, and egg yolk. Combine flour, cinnamon and salt, then add to the butter mixture. Add the vanilla (There is no baking powder nor liquid). Spread very thinly on a greased 12 x 15 cookie pan with sides. Brush top with the unbeaten egg white and sprinkle with finely chopped pecans on top. Bake in a 350 degree oven until brown (do not overbake). Cut into sticks while still warm.
