2 1/4 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup mashed bananas
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cream sugar and Crisco until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Add milk and bananas and dry ingredients. Mix well. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Frost with cream cheese frosting!
