3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbls flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
5 cups sliced apples
1/4 cup water
1 Tbls butter
1 cup flour
1 Tbls sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbls shortening
1/2 cup milk

Heat over to 400. Combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Mix with 5 cups of sliced apples. Add 1/4 cup water and place in baking dish. Dot with 1 Tbls butter. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the shortening and mix in the milk. Drop by spoonfuls on hot apples. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
