2 c. sifted flour, 2 c. sugar, 1/2 t. salt...mix in a bowl. 1 stick marg., 1/2 c. crisco, 1/4 c. cocoa, 1 c. water...bring to a boil. pour about 1/2 liquid over flour mixture & stir. Add other 1/2 & stir each time.Add 2 slightly beaten eggs, 1/2 c. buttermilk with 1 t. soda added to it, 1 t. vanilla & stir. Pour into greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake 20 min. at 400 degrees. Frosting: 1 stick margarine, 4 T. cocoa, 5 T. buttermilk. Let this come to a boil and pour over 4 c. powdered sugar and beat with electric beater and add a pinch of salt and 1 t. vanilla. Add 1/2 c. chopped nuts and spread on brownies.

If you think this is to much frosting for your brownies you can cut it in half. And if you don't like nuts don't add them to it. Very moist brownie.
