1 lb. elbow macaroni (the smaller ones)
2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
3 T. flour
2-3 T. butter or margarine
1 - 1 1/2 c. milk
8 oz. crushed croutons

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni according to directions then drain. Grate cheese and layer it with macaroni in a buttered 9x11 baking pan. Make a white sauce with flour, butter and milk and pour over macaroni and cheese. Sprinkle croutons over top and dot with butter. Bake at 375 degrees until brown around edges.

Cabot makes a cheese called "Hunter's seriously sharp" which our Dad loved and with good reason! It is great for this recipe, but also makes yummy grilled cheese sandwiches, or is lovely for cheese and crackers.
