1 small head of cabbage
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground sausage
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
1 medium onion diced
2/3 cup uncooked rice (NOT Minute Rice)
1 16 ounce can tomato sauce
2 1/2 cups water (possibly more)
1 pound sauerkraut

Directions:
Directions:
Chop cabbage into bite size pieces and place in the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13 inch casserole or baking dish. Brown meat, drain and add salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion. Sprinkle in uncooked rice. Place meat mixture over cabbage and cover with sauerkraut, tomato sauce and water. Bake uncovered at 350F oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes cover and continue baking for another hour or until rice is tender. Check during baking, it may be necessary to add more water.
